We are looking for a TECHNICAL ARCHITECT to join our ARCHITECTURE TEAM at BIT.


Reporting to the Head of Architecture, the Technical Architect´s mission is to support the technology strategy and to envision, design and implement shared technological stacks and capabilities, frameworks and best practices, across the applications landscape.


WHAT WILL MAKE YOUR DAY…

  • It’s likely you’ll also be coding and implementing what you design!
  • Play a key role in Architecture decisions and challenge Solution Architects to best fit high level solutions with adequate technological decisions and on-prem vs cloud deployment scenarios;
  • Support Enterprise Architecture and development teams on the roadmap and adequacy of technological and development stacks
  • Define principles and guidelines and develop reusable components to be used widely by developers, to enable applications with logging, instrumentation, data capture, authentication, enhanced security capabilities;
  • Lead the implementation and accelerated adoption of CI/CD pipelines, along with a sound testing and deployment automation strategy;
  • Train, provide guidance and support developers with the standardization and adoption of development frameworks.


WHAT MAKES YOU THE ONE…

  • Higher education and graduation in IT Science/Engineering;
  • More than 10 years of experience as Senior Software Engineer and 3+ years as a Technical (Principal) Architect, preferably with companies whose business is based on technology products or services;
  • Proven understanding and practice with technology stacks, development stacks and frameworks, covering frontend, backend (including data layer) and integration;
  • Deep understanding on technological components and services available for on-prem and cloud deployments, as well as structured approach to decide for each deployment scenario;
  • The vision and experience with Containerization (eg: dockers) and Orchestration (eg: K8s) platforms;
  • Experience with DevOps practice and implementation of CI/CD pipelines processes and tools;
  • Ability to understand the technological challenges and to structure and communicate your ideas with impact to other architects and developers;
  • Being relentless in pursuing and implementing your ideas and bringing others along with you;
  • Having an hands-on approach and enjoy developing what you design.

  • Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the “why,” and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation;
