The Creative Technology team at Dorier specializes in transforming complex ideas into seamless, immersive experiences that engage, inspire, and leave a lasting impression. We offer a wide range of services, including interactive installations, immersive experiences, custom software and app development, and digital content creation. Our approach combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of human needs and emotions, ensuring that every interaction feels personal and impactful.
We are looking to expand our team and onboard software engineers that want to be part of our mission. These roles are crucial for developing cutting-edge large-scale interactive installations, custom software, and digital content that will elevate our clients' engagements.

This is a full-time remote position offered as an indefinite-term contract, fully dedicated to the execution of a software development project, with the possibility of extension or transition into a permanent role based on performance and project evolution.
You have to be based in Portugal, preferably in the North region as currently most of the team is located in Aveiro. You also need to be fluent in English, as you will be collaborating with people from all around the world.
Salary varies based on seniority and relevant industry experience. The current range is 35k to 50k EUR, yearly gross salary.

YOUR ROLE

Your primary focus will be on designing and developing intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling interfaces that elevate user experience across digital touchpoints. You will bridge the gap between design and development, translating UX/UI concepts into responsive, functional front-end solutions that support interactive installations and software applications. Collaborating closely with designers, back-end developers, and infrastructure specialists, you will help define the look and feel of applications while ensuring usability, consistency, and performance.

The role is likely to evolve over time, requiring adaptability and a genuine interest in shaping how people interact with technology. This is a great opportunity for a UX/UI-minded engineer ready to take ownership of user-facing features and help build meaningful digital experiences from the ground up.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for an engineer with:

• Proven ability to lead and implement user-centered front-end solutions, from wireframes to fully functional interfaces.
• 3+ years of experience developing web applications using React, Angular, or similar frameworks, and mobile applications using React Native, Flutter, or similar.
• Strong sense of visual design and experience translating UX/UI prototypes into responsive layouts and interactive components.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript, with attention to detail in animation, transitions, and micro-interactions.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, and the ability to collaborate closely with UI/UX designers.
• Experience integrating front-end interfaces with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and third-party services.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments with established CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Care to champion front-end performance, accessibility standards, cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, and UI security best practices.

As a remote position, the ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional and geographically dispersed team is essential. NICE TO HAVE

The Creative Technology team delivers a wide variety of interactive experiences, fixed installations and software applications. The ability to contribute to these, outside the main scope of your role, with the perspective of a Mobile and Front-End engineer is, although not mandatory, highly valued. We are looking for:
- Familiarity with AR/VR/MR application development and interface design.
- Experience with Unity, Unreal or other game engines.
- Cloud development experience, particularly with Azure services.
- Familiarity with AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs).
- Contributions to open-source projects and privacy-oriented initiatives.
