Job Summary
Candidate responsible for coordinating and executing a broad range of supply chain activities, including sourcing, purchasing, logistics, and commercial support, to ensure the smooth flow of materials, components, and services required for production, construction, and operational needs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the timely availability of quality goods and services at competitive prices, contributing to the overall efficiency, agility, and cost-effectiveness of the project supply chain.
Key Responsabilities
- Responsible for coordinating supply chain activities related to sourcing, purchasing, logistics, and materials management, in accordance with Supply Chain (SC) procedures.
- Ensure compliance with best practices and internal Supply Chain (SC) policies.
- Provide regular status and progress reporting (e.g., Procurement Milestone Plan).
- Maintain knowledge of various commodities, suppliers, and market trends.
- Support the sourcing and development of Bidders Lists.
- Participate in the pre-qualification of suppliers.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) or Invitations to Tender (ITTs).
- Evaluate quotations, carry out bid clarifications, condition bids, and support negotiations with suppliers.
- Review supplier qualifications and coordinate with the Legal team on contractual terms.
- Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) / Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis.
- Prepare recommendations for award decisions.
- Support the preparation and issuance of Purchase Orders in IFS.
- Administer variations and contract amendments as needed.
- Liaise with suppliers to verify production and delivery schedules, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Identify potential or actual disruptions in supply and propose mitigation measures.
- Support certification of progress or milestone payments.
- Complete supplier performance evaluations and coordinate feedback from relevant departments.
- Assist in contract close-out and documentation archiving.
- Contribute to logistics coordination, expediting, and material receiving processes.
- Propose improvements to supply chain practices and workflows.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Business Development, Estimating, Engineering, etc.).
- Perform other supply chain-related duties as assigned.
Qualification requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a supply chain or operations-related role, ideally in an international or project-based environment.
- Experience in offshore oil and gas industry is a plus. Previous experience with ERP systems, knowledge of the procurement process within IFS is preferable.
Interpersonal skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solution oriented with good negotiation skills.
- Able to work independently as well as in team. Structured and organised, with good attention to details.
Knowledge
- In depth understanding of commercial and contractual issues related to the procurement of goods and services.
- Familiar with the terminology of the oil & gas industry.
- Solid understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics.
- Understanding / knowledge of ERP systems, preferably IFS.
- Understanding and knowledge of the technical, contractual and commercial issues related to the upstream oil & gas business, i.e. drilling & production operations, is an advantage. Fluent in English (oral and written), secondary languages (Portuguese and/ French) is an advantage.

- The position may have temporary assignments at away from home office at project worksites.
