As a Facility Management (Stronghold Blacksmith) at Critical TechWorks, you will play a key role in
maintaining and enhancing the quality of our office environments. Your work will be crucial in ensuring that our facilities operate smoothly and provide a comfortable, efficient, and welcoming space for all employees. This role focuses on managing day-to-day operations, overseeing both soft and hard services, and implementing strategies to improve the overall office experience in Porto/Lisbon and beyond.

Our culture and work methods are based on autonomy, responsibility, flexibility, collaboration and spontaneous human interactions. Your role is more than just a job; it’s about creating an optimal work environment that fosters productivity, collaboration, and employee well-being. If you have a passion for facility management and are eager to contribute to an innovative and dynamic workplace, we invite you to join us.

  • Facilities Operations Management: Plan and oversee soft services (cleaning, reception, surveillance) and hard services (preventive and corrective maintenance) to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Vendor Coordination: Supervise and coordinate services and suppliers, ensuring high-quality performance and compliance with contracts and regulations.
  • Maintenance Excellence: Ensure that all essential assets, including HVAC units, plumbing, and electrical systems, are maintained in top condition to support a seamless office experience.
  • Collaboration: work with other internal areas to ensure that offices represent and promote the company culture and implement procedures that enable organizational and regulatory policies.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, adhering to legal obligations and best practices.
  • Enhancing Employee Experience: Create a welcoming and comfortable office atmosphere that reflects our company culture and promotes productivity and collaboration.
  • Standardization and Improvement: Be proactive and collaborative - contribute to internal procedures, promoting consistency and standardization in facility management across all offices.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Propose and implement measures that promote sustainability and environmental responsibility within the facilities.

Whatever you’re working on, here’s the lowdown on the technical skills you’re likely to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or civil) or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facility management in a corporate environment.
  • Professional training in Occupational Health & Safety, minimum level VI (preferable).
  • Technical expertise and a proven track record in managing operations and maintenance of corporate facilities.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective planning skills to define and implement strategies while managing daily needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Resilience to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively – capable of shifting between autonomous work and within a team.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and legal policies related to facility management.
  • Ability to foster a positive and autonomous work culture and empower the facilities team.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to bring new ideas to the company.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese.
