This is a work from home opportunity that requires access to a broadband internet connection, a clear cellular data connection (cellular data costs covered/reimbursed), and a dedicated quiet area. At this time this position is open to all applicants over age 18 anywhere in the country of Portugal. We are seeking to fill multiple positions for this role.

Requirements:

-Must speak, understand, read and write both English, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, Amharic and Arabic Modern Standard (and, if applicable, a 3rd language) at a professional level.

-Knowledge of medical terminology in both English, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, Amharic and Arabic Modern Standard (and, if applicable, a 3rd language).

-Experience interpreting preferred 1 - 3 years.

-High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

-Note-taking skills and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities:

-Interpret for medical appointments with an English-speaking medical provider and a Cantonese, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, Amharic and Arabic Modern Standard speaking patient (and/or a third language, if applicable).

-Interpret non-medical appointments.

-Follow interpreter protocol for to maintain professionalism and interpreter transparency.

-Follow applicable laws and regulations (including HIPAA) to maintain the privacy and security of all parties.
