We are looking for someone with talent, drive, and a great sense of humor to join our team as Housekeeping Manager at our amazing, hotel-with-a-difference in Porto. We're looking to onboard someone by November 2024.

In Case You Don't Know Who We Are (ahem):

We're opening our first Social Hub in the Portugal and we couldn't think of a better place to do it than in Porto. Located in the heart of the Praça de Dom João in the city center of Porto, The Social Hub will operate 310 rooms, a restaurant and rooftop-bar, as well as a thriving co-working community. We're so much more than just a hotel. Are you ready to reimagine hospitality with us and establish TSH in the heart of the Portuguese community?

Known for being the rule breakers in hospitality, TSH is a fun, creative and inspiring environment where everyone can work, stay, learn and play and most importantly – be themselves. As an employer we look, act and think like a hotel, but instead we offer a lot more. Think student accommodation, long and short stay options, gyms, talks, events, rooftop bar and eat & drink escapes as well as community and coworking spaces. Located in The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, France and Spain with several new openings on the way, this hybrid hospitality concept may take root in the heart of Europe, but our plans are set for going global.

What You'll Do

  • Make sure the hotel is 24/7 sparkling & super-clean!
  • Coordinate work activities with our external cleaning partners for all of our rooms, kitchens, restaurants, and public areas
  • Supervise and follow up on performance of external cleaning partners according to the contracts
  • Plan and co-organize our student check in and check out
  • Plan and organize our 10 weeks Summer-period in July and August
  • Responsible for the overall quality & cleanliness of the rooms; daily, weekly & monthly workflows
  • Ensure adequate stock levels of all needed supplies
  • Organize and structure the storages
  • Evaluate records to forecast department personnel requirements
  • Make recommendations to improve quality of rooms and ensure more efficient operation
  • Examine building to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and make recommendations to management

Who You Are

  • You have at least 2 years' experience in a housekeeping supervisor/manager role
  • You're fluent Portuguese (written and spoken), other languages are a bonus
  • You're a clean and organized mastermind
  • A big star in organizing and structuring any Housekeeping Department
  • You're extremely calm under pressure and a multitasking machine!
  • You're flexible, motivated, social and highly organized
  • You're legally allowed to work in Portugal
