We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Health and Safety Specialist/ Office Assistant.
This dual role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while providing essential Office support to maintain a smooth and efficient office environment. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a passion for creating a safe and efficient work environment, working from the reception is an integral part of the job, your role as a combined Health and Safety Specialist and Office Assistant places you at the heart of our operations.

In a typical day at OLX, in the role of Health and Safety Specialist, you will:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment,
  • Ensure the office complies with all regulatory health and safety regulations,
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits within the office to identify potential hazards,
  • Organize and conduct health and safety training sessions for office staff, including emergency procedures and ergonomic practices,
  • Develop and oversee emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness,
  • Provide general support to visitors and assist in organizing office events or meetings,
  • Maintain an organized filing system and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.

To get there, you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferred,
  • Relevant health and safety certifications are a plus,
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a health and safety role and/or office administration,
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices,
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook),
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion,
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills,
  • With strong English communication skills (spoken + written).
