Your Next Role

We are looking for a seasoned & passionate Copy veteran to lead our in-house team of 7 experienced copywriters. This role offers the opportunity to craft the vision, mission & operating principles of the function moving forward.

You’ll define our scaling framework and SOPs, ensuring process excellence and strong cross-functional collaboration with various internal teams: Product, Traffic, CS, and the extended creative team (Design + Video).

This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to work with our management team and founder to streamline, upscale and upskill our direct response copywriting across multiple media & platforms. As we keep building & scaling new brands, you will be in a unique position to shape the future of all our copies.

What You’ll do

Copy Performance Management

  • Oversee copy on 200+ ads per week towards growth campaigns across 9 SKUs alongside the Head of Growth & Creative Director to ensure consistent performance and milestone achievement

  • Analyze campaign results to identify performance gaps and collaborate with senior copywriters to develop targeted solutions (including positioning, CVR, AOV, LTV gaps)

  • Implement a strong performance & data-driven culture across the copy team while conducting regular performance reviews and provide feedback to optimize individual and team output

Team Management & Scaling

  • Management of 7 experienced copywriters direct reports across multiple locations, both in our SG HQ and various remote locations

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition (TA) to attract, assess, and hire copywriters who align with both the company culture and required skill sets

  • Oversee the copy team onboarding processes, ensuring that new hires meet project expectations within the first 30 to 90 days

Copywriters Mentoring & Upskilling

  • Conduct an audit on the existing team capabilities & performance against various KPIs, identifying skill gaps while recognising and promoting good practices

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a dedicated L&D program, tailored to improve the quality, speed, and volume of the copywriting team

  • Lead the development of foundational training modules for onboarding and ongoing skill enhancement

Process Review & Optimization

  • Implement processes to ensure a smooth transition from product launch to scaling campaigns, aligning ROAS & Sales objectives with the Head of Growth

  • Process/SOP Creation, Implementation + Improvement. Design and roll-out effective drills and routines for the team focusing on essential DR fundamentals like hooks, leads, angles, and closing techniques

Compliance and Secondary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Creative, Growth, Product & BD) to ensure advertising materials meet local market compliance standards

  • Align copy development with broader business functions, ensuring aligned communication, brand image and persuasive messaging in all outputs


How You’ll Succeed

Maneuver is an OKRs, KPIs & data-driven company, we are not Mad Men (Well, not all), but Math Men. As a result, multiple metrics will constitute the basis of your performance and success within this role and the company:

  • Speed of Product Scaling Cycles

    • Lead the team to achieve sales & growth OKRs across multiple SKUs as defined with our management team

  • Ad Performance

    • Increase the quality, speed, and volume of winning ads, with defined KPIs (ROAS, CTR, CPC, Spend, CPUS, CVR, CPC, CRO)

  • Team Performance

    • Scale the team productivity & efficiency, while ensuring all your direct reports are meeting their individual KPIs

What You Bring

  • 10y+ total experience in direct response copywriting with min. 3y+ in a similar position, preferably within an agency or DTC brand (eCom/Shopify/Amazon)

  • Successful track record crafting, launching & optimizing winning copies on multiple online channels (Meta, Google, TikTok) on behalf of 7+ figures brands or products

  • Managed, scaled and upskilled copy teams with 5+ direct reports in a fast paced environment, while creating a strong culture with local and remote reports

  • Audited, improved & documented on existing SOPs/scaling framework: research, ad/angle creation, hook/ creative variants, funnel CRO, production schedules

  • Result-driven individual with strong sense of ownership, and an appetite for cross-functional collaboration across product, traffic, CS, and creative teams

  • You identify opportunities through data analysis, get alignment, implement solutions, and always seek to improve operational performance & process excellence

  • Previous experience in the health/beauty/wellness DXC/D2C space are preferred but not mandatory to be successful in this role
