Hyde & Associates has an exciting opportunity for an IT Administrator to provide comprehensive IT support to our staff and system users. This position is available at our offices in Lisbon, Portugal, or Tallinn, Estonia.

THE ROLE

As the IT Administrator, you will oversee the maintenance and management of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and SaaS tools. You will ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, manage IT budgets, and provide device provisioning, network support, and technical assistance.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

· IT Asset Management: Oversee the maintenance and inventory of all IT assets, including servers, networking equipment, computers, and other hardware. Ensure assets are properly tracked and well-maintained.

· SaaS Tool Management: Manage all Software as a Service (SaaS) tools used across the company. Ensure proper licensing, subscription management, and compliance with terms of use.

· Budget Control: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Monitor expenditures and provide regular reports to senior management.

· Device Provisioning and Support: Oversee the provisioning of devices to employees, including laptops, mobile devices, and other hardware. Ensure timely setup and support for new hires and existing staff.

· Network and Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and other critical systems. Ensure high availability, reliability, and security.

· Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices to protect IT assets and sensitive data. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Perform data backup, testing and validation to ensure data integrity and recoverability.

· Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Responsible for providing technical support to employees.[ML1] Resolve IT-related issues promptly and efficiently.

· Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts, ensure service level agreements are met, and coordinate technical support as needed.

· Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide solutions. Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure IT infrastructure aligns with business objectives.

THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE

· Education: University Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

· Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (level C1 - C2).

· Experience: 3 to 5 years of comparable work experience, preferably in managing a global IT infrastructure in a startup or equivalent corporate environment.

· Technical Skills:

  • Administering Microsoft 365, Exchange, and SharePoint solutions.
  • Configuring Windows Server and its services, managing and troubleshooting Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.
  • Computer networks and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, firewall etc.)
  • Configuring RDP for secure remote access to workstations.
  • Experience in managing budgets for multiple SaaS subscriptions.
  • Implementing and managing IT service desk solutions, ensuring efficient incident management and user support.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Ability to explain technical information to non-technical staff.

YOU WILL GET EXTRA POINTS FOR

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and other cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Relevant Microsoft and other technical certifications.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • A problem-solving mindset and the ability to learn quickly.
