Job Title: Direct Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant (Ireland)

Salary: €14.50 – €16.50 per hour

A leading Irish care provider, in collaboration with MMA Healthcare Recruitment, is holding in-person interviews in Lisbon from 14th to 18th July 2025. This is a unique opportunity to secure a permanent healthcare role in Ireland before relocating.

About the Role

As a Direct Support Worker, you will support individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries, and other complex needs. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll deliver person-centred care that empowers residents to live meaningful and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver daily personal care and lifestyle support
  • Promote community engagement and independence
  • Collaborate with families and professionals
  • Maintain care documentation and follow safety procedures
  • Support residents’ emotional and physical wellbeing

Essential Criteria

  • Level 5 Healthcare qualification (or recognised equivalent)
  • Experience in a health or social care setting
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Full manual driving licence
  • Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the EU (Visa sponsorship is not available)

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Experience in rehabilitation settings
  • Completion of Intellectual Disability Module (as part of FETAC Level 5)
