The working environment is good for PhD, post-Docs and those that want to make a career in academia. There is ample opportunity to get involved with teaching and interacting with students.

I was a PhD candidate at University of Twente, ITC faculty. The job was quite stressful and isolating sometimes but also gave opportunity to research and network.

You can pick how much you want to work and when you want to work. The management tool used is currently not so user friendly and it is somewhat inconvenient to use.

My typical day starts with a coffee and going through my To-do list prepared yesterday. Then i move to complete each task, setting myself deadlines for them. Personally, i feel great to research things which have not been yet explored, so i enjoy my job. Part of my job is active collaborations which i also enjoy

It is really nice place to work, grow, and live. It is very friendly environment that motivates to work. Working there is demanding.
The dean and other co-workers took all my projects away, and pressed me from the university. Very bad climate, a lot of incompetent people, including the executive board.
As a teaching assistant at the university of Twente, I have been given the choice to pass my knowledge forward and collaborate with bachelors students. Through workshops we have been given the opportunity to discuss rising issues and techniques necessary during their endeavor of developing simple robots.

Managed a research study that utilized Java programming and MATLAB to analyze satellite data and build a plug-in software tool for the internal ILWIS application. Evaluated, entered, and updated information in the geodatabase. Analyzed, reported on, and presented study results. Leveraged results to drive key decisions.
