Basically a 0 hour contract so no job security. Shifts were provided less than 24 hours before a shift, so my own life was hard to plan. VERY little rotation of position so 8 hours of repetitive work (line work/ tray work), often in cold/hot environments. Work is very repetitive and often the lines are too quick to use proper lifting techniques so ended up having multiple days off due to back pain. Often pushed that hard to increase productivity that it had the reverse effect as more was being wasted, more time spent on stoppages due to the increased speed. Sometimes higher workers/managers would belittle agency workers.
Not as long as other factory shifts in area, paid holidays.
Basically a 0 hour Contract, date of scheduling, little rotation of position, cold/hot environments, fast speeds led to more problems, muscular pain from not having time for correct lifting techniques, general working environments, inter-colleague relations.
